I thought it was pretty awesome! I knew that he would choose Sen. Obama because even though Colin Powell is a republican, he did not back Bush in going to war. He also disagreed with most of Bush's descisions after the war began. McCain is a lot like Bush in many ways even though McCain seems a lot better than Bush. McCain agreed with Bush 90 percent of the time. Why would Powell want to endorse McCain if he is so similar to Bush. He believes in Obama's principles and ways of change. So I pretty much think it was an awesome and reasonable choice that Colin Powell made.
I thought it was just a move on Colin Powell's part to get back into the public eye and get good with America again. He tarnished his reputation by leaving office and began to fall out of the public eye.
I dont agree with Powell's move obviously. But oh well. I dont think it will hurt McCain anymore since the public is so enthralled with Obama in the first place.
